ATV/UTV Snowplows
What all do I need to purchase to get my snow plow set up?
There are four main items you will need to buy. You will need a blade, a push tube, a mount plate, and lift system.
How do I know what plow mount I need?
You can look at our Application Chart to see what plow mount you need.
What size plow do I need?
When you are choosing a plow size you will want to keep in mind what you will be using the plow for. If you’re doing a driveway and side walks you should be fine with a 48”. If you’re doing large parking lots you may want to consider something larger. The smaller AVT you have the smaller size plow you will want. You can always look at our Application chart to see what size we recommend.
Can I use a plow from another ATV on mine?
Our plows are universal. The blade, push tube and lift system are universal. The mount bracket however is specific to each ATV. One thing to keep in mind is prior to 1999 our plow systems were model specific. These older plow systems are not combatable with our newer systems unless they measure 14 ½” from ear to ear inside on the push tubes.
Which push tube do I need?
ATV’s use the 15-0001 push tube. The UTV’s use the 18-0010 push tube. Except for the Yamaha Rhino’s. The Yamaha Rhino’s use the 15-0001.
How can I get a manual for my plow?
On our home page if you click ATV snowplows or UTV snowplows along the left hand side it will bring you to a screen that tells you about our plows. Find the item you need a manual for and click PDF Manual.
My Blade doesn’t lift very high?
The range of blade heights varies with the ATV Brands and Models. To get the best height from your ATV, complete the following steps:
- Inflate the tires to the maximum pressure as listed in your owners manual or on the decal on your ATV
- With your ATV on a flat level surface place the lift handle in the forward position. Adjust the slotted stop so the lift handle is about ½” from the front fender or rack. (Which ever it would strike first)
- Remove the slack from the cable at the cable clamp and tighten the clamp. (Do not try and pull the cable “tight”, just remove the excess slack.)
- Pull the lift handle back, it should allow the blade to “lock” in the up position. At this point, the lift handle should be close to the rear fender or rear rack. (Which ever it would strike first)
- If there is room left for the lift handle to move back towards the fender, let the blade down and lengthen the link rod. (1/8” or so). Again, remove the slack from the cable and pull the handle back.
The blade should lock in the up position and the lift handle should be closer to the fender. If the lift handle strikes the fender before the blade locks up, the lift rod is now to long. If the blade locks up and there is still quite a bit of room between the lift handle and the fender, you may want to repeat step #5 above.
My quick attach keeps popping off?
This can occur when you lift the push tube with a winch and allow the push tube to bottom out. You should use the cable stop provided with the winch to prevent this from happening.
How much more if any would the down force kit help on uneven ground?
Our down force kit is made to work on uneven ground. The down force kit makes the blade scoop closer to the pavement. It will help some in scooping uneven ground.
Wear Bars
What do you offer for replacement Wear bars?
We offer three different replacement wear bars. We have our standard high strength wear bars. We also offer a plastic wear bar and our new long life double sided wear bar.
What makes the long life wear bar better?
Our long life wear bars are made of superior hardened steel. They are 3” high and designed to be flipped over.
What are the Plastic Wear Bars recommended for?
We recommended the plastic wear bars for customers who have pavers or don’t want to mark up their driveways.
Lift Systems
I can’t get my lift handle to lock into place?
- Make sure the cable, lift strap and linkage rod is loosened.
- Place the blade on a 6-8 inch block
- Pull the handle back into the lock position
- Adjust the linkage rod once in the locked position
- Tighten cable and lift strap
What lift systems do you offer?
We have three different lift systems you can choose from. You can use a winch, our electric lift, or our manual lift system.
My winch won’t move up or down?
Remove the wires off the winch relay. Carefully connect them directly to a 12-vdc battery. This will let you know if the winch motor is OK. Reverse polarity and try it the other way to be sure. If the winch motor is OK then check the RED wire to the switch ( 12 vdc power only with key on) and voltage to the 2 blue wires.
Winch motor will only run one way?
This would indicate the winch relay is bad. Switch the blue wires and see if the problem switches to the other way. You can also attach a test light to the ATV ground and test the 12-VDC voltage at the blue relay connectors. If they both light when UP/Down buttons are pressed then the switch is okay.
I press the Up/Down button and nothing happens?
Check to make certain the Red wire from the handlebar switch has 12-VDC power with the key on, the two Blue wires are connected to the winch relay and the battery ground wire is connected. You should be able to hear a “click’ from the winch relay whenever the Up/Down button is pressed (with the ATV key on).
Where does the yellow wire go?
The yellow wire attaches to the accessory side of the ignition switch.

Do I use a push tube with the quick sweep?

What do I need to hook up my mower?
Our Rough Cuts are pull behind only and come with a tow bar. Nothing else is needed to hook up the Rough Cut mowers.
Our Quicksilver mowers can either be pulled behind or pushed. If you want to use the Quicksilver as a pull behind you will need to purchase a Pull Behind Kit. If you want to use Quicksilver as a push mower you will need to purchases a Front Pivot Assembly, as well as the mount bracket for your specific atv model.
Can I replace my older Quicksilver spindle assembly with a newer one?
If you replace an older Quicksilver spindle assembly with a newer one keep in mind the cut height may be different. We recommend replacing all 3 at the same time.
What is the Horse Power of your mowers?
- Our Rough Cut 44 mower has a 10 HP motor
- Our Rough Cut 48 mower has a 13 HP motor
- Our Quick Sliver 54 mower has a 11 HP motor
Do I need to remove the motor on my Quick Silver to change the belt?
The old and new belt should slip under the motor clutch without having to remove the motor or remove anything else to get the belt where it needs to be.
How can adjust the height of my mower to a higher position?
To adjust the height you will need to turn the height adjustment knob. It can be hard to crank. To make it easier try and jack up the back end of the mower. This will take away some of the weight of the mower and make the crank turn easier.

To use one of our implements you will need several items. You need a main frame, 3 point
mount kit, your implement and all implements except the rear blade need a toolbar in order to link with the Three Point Hitch. Rear blade does need a mount kit too operate.
